The Matrix Challenge 2019 is an online game designed to test your cyber skills from bug hunting to steganography. The online game combined with the Duke of Yorks iDEA platform is a fantastic opportunity for young people to hone their digital skills in a safe learning environment.

The Matrix Challenge 2019 game will be live from 29th April to 24th May 2019.  A fantastic game has been developed to test the young minds of Yorkshire and Humberside. The game is open to anyone but in order to qualify for the live final in York on Saturday 6th July you must fit the criteria below:

  • Aged between 11-17 years of age 
  • Either attend a school or home schooled in Yorkshire or Humberside. 
  • Be available to attend York Race Course on 6th July for the Matrix final 

Those who perform well in the qualification game will be invited to York for the live final on 6th July where top technology prizes are up for grabs. 

Officers and staff from the Yorkshire and Humber regional cyber crime unit supported by colleagues from the 4 force areas will be visiting schools across the Yorkshire and Humberside region to play the Matrix Challenge game.
